"THE DISHWARE DOES NOT ONLY LOOK CLEAN, IT ALSO FEELS CLEAN!"
"We're not in any ski area, Innsbruck is 22 km away and the region is not exactly top of the list for hiking enthusiasts," explains Simone Baumgartner. So what turns her Schmalzerhof into the hotspot of the small town of Weer in the Inntal? It is the likeable couple who runs it, the excellent cooking of Simone Baumgartner's sister Katrin, as well as their colleague Wolfgang Schonner. Although the tourists go to Innsbruck, the people living in the region keep the Schmalzerhof with its 120 seats busy.
The bubbly host is known for her down-to-earth nature, her good mood, which always comes from the heart, and her irrepressible joy in providing good service.
"WE HAVE SENSATIONAL WASH RESULTS"
"I can be quite nitpicky," admits Simone Baumgartner. After a holiday closedown of two weeks and before the guests return, she and her team are putting all glasses through the undercounter MEIKO glasswasher, equipped with GiO, the osmosis technology of meiko. For this reason, the host is also very happy about the new hood type dishwashing machine in the kitchen. "We have sensational wash results, just like we've always hoped! The dishware does not only look clean, it also feels clean," rejoices Simone Baumgartner.
Janka Chlebovcová shares her excitement. The 53-year old works in the wash-up area of the Schmalzerhof. She voices her opinion: "Simone, that is such a good machine. I don't have to press it (the hood) up any more!" After all, 200 racks are washed here per day - that used to mean opening and closing the hood by hand 200 times a day. "That was like having a fitness center at your work," smiles Janka.
The fact that the hood automatically opens and can be closed with a tap of a finger also means that the washing-up is done a lot faster – which also benefits the restaurant: Around lunchtime, our tables are sometimes occupied up to four times - that means that our processes and the machine have to run smoothly," explains Simone Baumgartner. Our guests can rely on us 100%, and we expect the same from our suppliers.
At MEIKO, we have really found a partner who fits to us. In addition to the two sisters Simone and Katrin Baumgartner, as well as Janka Chlebovcová, the machine has another big fan: Landlord Herbert Margreiter values the low consumption of energy, chemicals and water. This is achieved by means such as the integrated waste water heat recovery, the vapour retention system, as well as the integrated osmosis unit (MEIKO GiO). "That is very important to him. After all, we also drive electronic cars that we charge with our own photovoltaic system, to help protect the environment," reveals Simone Baumgartner.
