There is no evidence of particular heat resistance in SARS-CoV-2. It can be assumed that it is sensitive to temperatures of 60 to 70 °C.

It is also an enveloped virus, meaning that alkali detergents at temperatures from 50 °C upwards are especially effective. Loss of the viral envelope or removal of the envelope’s lipids prevent it from infecting host cells. This fact is exploited to inactivate enveloped viruses in order to stop the virus from spreading.
